Great little neighborhood place. I got the chimichanga. It was sooo good. The service was great. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

This use to be the best Mexican food in the south end of Sellwood neighborhood when they opened about 5 or so years ago. I stopped in yesterday. No customers. I order simple taco chips and guacamole. That use to be the most satisfying for me. They have changed cooks or recipes. I judge a Mexican restaurant by its salsa and flavors. If I have to drown everything is salsa to have a flavor... then sorry. Please work on your customer service and re-evaluate your menu. Higher prices should still have same quality. We don't want to loose you.

Everything we ordered was not at all enjoyable to eat. The chips and salsa were rubbish, the margs were inadequate and the tacos, well let's just say Taco Bell has them beat.

I ordered Encebollado the menu and the steak what's leathery and tough, I couldn't even finish the meal. My wife had the taco salad and it was very sub-par. To the owners or people running the restaurant, this piece of meat must have been cooked earlier in the day and nobody decided that a new Fresh piece of meat should be prepared. With all of the great restaurants around the area where I live like Killer Burger, Thai Crossing, Bellagios Pizza and more, you really should be ashamed of serving food it is so horrible. I hope others have a better experience than I did but I have nothing else to go off of. I don't believe I will ever go back there because of that horrible piece of steak!

When my friend mentioned they were within walking distance of a taqueria I was like "soooo tacos for dinner?"
The restaurant is small (6-8 tables), but it gives you that local spot vibe. I ordered four chicken tacos and my friend had a burrito. We also got some chips and guac for the table. The tacos were decent, but not as flavorful as I'd like. I ended up dousing them in the green salsa provided. My friend seemed happy with the monstrous burrito but we were both super disappointed in the guacamole. It was flavorless and soupy. Definitely wouldn't bother ordering the guacamole. The gal at the counter was nice and the food came out relatively quickly. This is one of those bus your own tables type of places, so keep that in mind too.
I'm not sure if it was the combo of hot sauce and jarritos or what but I got the worst heartburn after eating here. My friend was unscathed so it could have been a fluke? Either way, I could see this being a decent spot to grab a quick, filling meal.
No frills, light 3 out of 4.
